Feather Combed Ceramic Tile Workshop
Instructor: Vey Valentine
Students will use a slab roller to create clay tiles, then decorate with slip (liquid clay) of multiple colors, using the centuries - old technique of feather combing. The resulting tile will then be fired and can be used as a coaster or trivet. All skill levels welcome. Age 14+

Learn the fundamentals of pottery making on the wheel. For those who have wanted to try clay, this class is for you. In this small class setting, receive individual attention in a very supportive atmosphere. We will focus on basic techniques of centering, pulling, trimming and handles. Class is tailored to your skill level and goals. Age: 17+

Handbuilding/Functional Pottery

Make your own distinctive pottery. Platters, bowls, mugs, bakeware, vases or other functional pieces to be used every day in your home. Have fun learning basic hand building techniques with soft and hard slabs, coils, decorative stamps, extruding and more.

Those students who have some wheel throwing or more advanced experience with clay will have fun in this small class setting. Instruction is tailored to your individual skill level. Work with wheel-throwing, slab-rolling and extruding to expand your goals.
